Newsletter : December 2009
A Hurricane Heading for the Highland Inn Ballroom
The recent windy weather around Atlanta could be partly attributed to the blistering rehearsals that Rev. Johnny L. Jones has been conducting the past couple of weeks on Ponce de Leon Avenue. The band is sounding great, and they are ready to perform next Thursday (12/17) at the Highland Inn Ballroom. Get there at 8pm to hear Those Kids and Cole Alexander from the Black Lips spin rare gospel 45s, then brace yourself because at 9pm the Hurricane Express is pulling in.
Grammy Nomination for Take Me to the Water
Last week our most recent release Take Me to the Water received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Historical Album of 2009. We are honored to receive the recognition from our peers and to be in the category with such an esteemed list of producers.
