Newsletter : October 2006

Greetings from Atlanta,
A lot has been happening here at Dust-to-Digital, so let's get right to it.

First, we are very happy to announce five new releases for next month. There is a 3 CD box set, a DVD, a soundtrack CD, a CD that spans 85 years of Sacred Harp recordings, and a sampler CD for a box set to be released in 2007. I'll list information on these releases at the bottom of this email and will send an update in a few weeks to let you know when we have finished copies in stock.

Second, we are proud to be involved with the first annual Great Southern Old Time Music Convention, which will take place in Chattanooga this Friday and Saturday. The stellar lineup features more than a dozen of the most talented string bands and old time music performers out there today. At only $25 for both days, it promises to be a lot of bang for the buck.

Third, April and I celebrated our one-month wedding anniversary yesterday. After a seven year courtship I finally won her over.

Finally, with all the excitement, we cannot forget the loss of a member of the Dust-to-Digital family. Last week saw the passing of our cat Mr. Blackwell. His body gave out to FIV and intestinal cancer. It seems only fitting that we will be releasing a box set with Art Rosenbaum next year featuring Scrapper Blackwell, the man Mr. Blackwell was named after. He is missed and will never be forgotten.

All our best wishes,
Lance Ledbetter
