Newsletter : February 2006

Greetings from Atlanta,

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Fonotone Records Release Party last month at the EARL. For those unable to attend the festivities, some photos and video have been posted on our website.

Joe Bussard had such a good time that he convinced us to come up to Maryland to have another party. So, that's what we'll be doing this Saturday the 25th. If you're in the Baltimore area come join us at The True Vine around 9pm.

In other news, we were pleasantly surprised to find a review of Goodbye, Babylon in last week's Moscow Times. We've posted a link to it, as well as some recent Fonotone Records reviews on our News & Updates page.

Speaking of Goodbye, Babylon, we pay tribute to the man who wrote the introduction to that compilation. On the night of February 9th, one of country music's greatest historians, Charles Wolfe passed on.

And not to get too down, our friends Adam Lore and Kevin Nutt informed us that gospel guitar legend Rev. Charlie Jackson passed on the morning of the 13th.

Both Jackson and Wolfe will be missed, but their legacies will live on in the work they left behind.

Thanks for all your support,
Lance Ledbetter
